The Beginning
Launched in August 2020, the Black Tea Bonfire is equipped with off-the-shelf motors and controllers, to minimise development costs & time. Thereby offering convincing performance at an affordable price.
With our first crowdfunding campaign, we successfully funded over 600,000 €. The money was used for the product certification in North America & Europe, production set up in Munich & delivery of the first bikes to the Community of Riders.
Made In Germany
Our bikes are carefully handcrafted with a strong focus on quality and durability. From bolts to tires every motorcycle is manufactured by hand at our factory in Munich, Germany.
New Level of Convenience
The Bonfire has removable batteries that can be charged at any normal 220 V household outlet. No gears, no clutch and no sound. Nothing should distract you. Leave your phone at home and get lost in the moment.
Vintage Inspired Brand
Our high performance motorcycles are inspired by Scramblers & Trackers from the 60's & 70's. Even though we modernised each feature, we kept the old charm while improving the performance.
Our Unique Battery Strategy
To further enhance the usability across models, Black tea Motorbikes launched two unique steps for the future product strategy.
Dual Battery Drivetrain: Two batteries are used simultaneously to improve acceleration & top speed through a high voltage drivetrain while offering the safety of low voltage batteries.
Uniform Battery System: All Electric Motorcycle Models are powered by the same battery. Newer Motorcycles can be used with older batteries & vice versa. This ensures that our Riders benefit from the latest progress in technology.
